| Symposium Description |

This symposium will strengthen the practitioner’s clinical knowledge base and assessment skills and assist in further development of dynamic practice strategies for diagnosis and management. The symposium will begin with an evening reception and lecture. Expert faculty including Advanced Practice Nurses, Physicians and Allied Health Care Professionals will present the day-long program. Evidence-based findings and current research data to enhance registrants’ knowledge of diagnosis and management of selected disease entities including new and existing pharmacotherapies utilized in management will be presented.

This symposium is designed to meet the needs of advance practice nurses, physician assistants and other health care professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge of current and emerging issues relevant to their clinical practice and primary care. |

| Conference Objectives |
| |
Upon completion of this CME activity, participants should be able to: |
- Analyze the current top 3 legislative issues for healthcare providers in Florida
- Appraise emerging treatment strategies of aortic aneurysms
- Assess the current evidence for the management of post traumatic stress disorders
- Discuss video assisted surgeries of the thorax
- Assess strategies for diagnoses and management of selected neurosurgical disorders related to spinal cord.
- Formulate strategies for managing patients with an acute abdomen
- Discuss disaster medicine and standardized approaches to disaster intervention
- Relate concepts of holistic health
- Assess management strategies for hypo/hypernatremia
- Demonstrate the placement of an IUD
- Demonstrate beginning skill in suturing
- Relate current best practices for immunization of children and adults
- Assess the interpretation of chest x-rays
