Course Description

Dr. Arthur Swift, plastic surgeon from Montreal, Canada, will review the Beauti“phi”cation™ approach he incorporates into the aesthetic analysis process. Demonstration of this concept with both video and live patients, with particular focus on volumizing the mid face is included. In addition, there will be a review of recently published clinical data emphasizing increased persistency with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers when patients are treated to full correction with appropriate and timely follow up. Patient safety and satisfaction will be emphasized.

Target Audience

This CME activity is primarily intended and designed to educate plastic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons, cosmetic surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, dermatologists and those who assist in their practice.

 


Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the participants should be able to:
  • Assess facial features utilizing proven mathematical concepts
  • Examine the data that demonstrates an increase in persistency when injecting hyaluronic acid dermal fillers to full correction with appropriate follow up
  • Improve patient safety and satisfaction through a better understanding of product characteristics and proper placement of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers
  • Evaluate advanced injection techniques with hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, with particular emphasis on volume enhancement to the mid face
 


Accreditation

Physicians: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through joint sponsorship of the USF Health and Medical Education Advocates. USF Health is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

USF Health designates this educational activity for a maximum of 2.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
