| Course Description |
| |
This course will provide the orthopaedic surgeon with state-of-the-art information on the
surgical treatment of various shoulder and elbow problems including arthroplasty and
fracture management. A nationally distinguished faculty in the field of shoulder and elbow
reconstruction will present two days of intense lectures and cadaver demonstrations.
A special feature of the course is the opportunity for participants to take part in a cadaver
lab being held Sunday, January 15, 2006. Participants will take home "pearls of wisdom"
from the experts and experience hands on training in the cadaver lab.

Upon the completion of this program, the participant will be able to:
- Discuss design rationale of shoulder and elbow arthroplasty.
- Interpret surgical approaches to arthroplasty of the shoulder.
- Evaluate existing therapies and develop new approaches in relieving pain and
improving function in the management of conditions requiring joint eplacement or
alternative treatment pertaining to the shoulder and elbow.
- Apply innovative methods of assessment and management of various shoulder and
elbow problems.

Refund Policy
Registration fees will be refunded minus a cancellation
fee of $100.00 before January 5,
2006. No refunds will be made after January
5, 2006. The University of South Florida CPD
Office reserves the right to cancel the program
due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case
the full enrollment fee will be refunded. The
University of South Florida will not be responsible
for travel expenses incurred by the participant
if the course is canceled. |
