Primary care providers (PCP's) are under increasing pressure from managed care organizations to broaden their scope of practice. Dermatology, in particular, has been identified as a high priority in several needs-assessment surveys for Continuing Medical Education. Several mini-symposia, focusing on the diagnosis and management of common skin problems likely to be encountered by the PCP, will be presented by a distinguished faculty. Interactive workshops have been designed in this program to develop your dermatological surgery skills, challenge your diagnostic acumen and enhance your mastery of coding & documentation.
Target Audience
This program is intended for primary care providers (Physicians, PAs, ARNP's, Podiatrists) that treat common dermatological conditions in their office.
Objectives
Upon the completion of this program, the participant should be able to:
Describe abnormal skin lesions and common eruptions.
Formulate a differential diagnosis of common dermatoses and lesions.
Recognize the essential criteria for definitive diagnosis of common dermatological conditions.
Physicians:
The University of South Florida College of
Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education
