Attendees may elect to take the CHMM examination immediately following the course or at a later date. It is expected that attendees of this course when taking the examination will be able to demonstrate: An understanding of the basic principles involved in technologies pertaining to hazardous materials management, including: chemistry, radiology, physics, biology, geology/hydrology, toxicology, and engineering. When taking the exam, attendees should also be able to demonstrate: knowledge of the regulatory framework of environmental and hazardous materials management: the Federal regulations associated with TSCA, RCRA, CERCLA, FIFRA, OSHA, DOT, and EPA. As a final note, attendees when taking the exam are expected to demonstrate competence and maturity of judgment in managing environmental programs and resources. It is strongly recommended that prior to attending the CHMM Review Course, attendees have participated in a 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training course. |
