Multiple Sclerosis 2008

June 7, 2008
The Hotel Hershey
Hershey, PA

Sponsored By:

Course Description

This one-day, intensive MS update will review the most up to date information regarding MS research. The topics include information that MS clinicians can incorporate into the care of their patients. This includes how MS therapies work, neuroimaging advances, recent head-to-head trials, and new MS therapies (orals and monoclonals). Round-table discussions are planned to allow the audience and distinguished faculty time to discuss and debate diagnostic and management issues.

Target Audience

This program is designed for Neurologists, Neurology Residents, MS Fellows, and MS Mid-level providers interested in the newest information in the treatment of patients with Multiple Sclerosis.

Needs Assessment

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory disease that affects the central nervous system (CNS). MS can lead to substantial disability. There is a rapid expansion in the new information and understanding regarding the pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment strategies for the MS patient. It is extraordinarily challenging for clinicians to keep apprised of the changes within the MS field and to integrate this new information into their practice to improve patient care.
