This program is designed to provide full interaction and discussion of the latest in general surgery technology and techniques. Participants will view and discuss surgery cases with experts and be able to apply changes in surgical practice.
Applying the latest in surgical technology and techniques may lead to better patient outcomes. Laparoendoscopic Single-Site Surgery (LESS) requires only one tiny laparoscopic incision, typically in the navel, instead of several incisions spaced throughout the abdomen. Natural Orifice Translumenal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES) offers another minimally invasive surgical treatment option. Physicians say fewer incisions mean quicker recovery time, less pain, less scarring and less risk for bleeding and infections.
This program will provide detailed information on how to introduce these and other surgical techniques in practice. Participants will learn how to screen patients and apply these techniques to treat a host of surgical conditions. Indications, different techniques, and outcomes of Bariatric Surgery will also be discussed.
In addition, surgeons will learn about the use of surgical simulation as part of education and hands-on training. Simulation provides and opportunity to learn and practice using new surgical procedures in a non-threatening environment designed to improve the knowledge, competence, and skills of the practicing general surgeon.

| Due to the immense popularity of Martin Luther King Weekend, early enrollment is
